One of the best compliments I can get as a photographer is when a client comes back for another session. Especially for young actor headshots, when they specifically request me. It is an honor to be trusted like that.
A budding triple-threat performer (actor, singer, dancer) applying to college theater programs needs new headshots, and we didn’t have a lot of time. She was going to a musical theater summer program in less than a month. We made it work and was so excited to work with her again.

This was originally going to be her senior photos, but at the last minute decided to focus more on the headshots for college applications and dance. Honestly, these would make great senior photos too.
The cream color with a little highlight in her hair was inspired by some photos she brought to the consultation. The simple wardrobe was intentional, as the prominent thing in the image for young actor headshots is their face. Expressiveness and character potential are what directors and casting agents look for in.
We did do some dace images but she was drawn to the headshots more at the Image Reveal when we went through them all. The image below was a final selection and I think enapsulates her presence as a performer.

All the best on her summer program and in college applications.
