High Five with Fiona | Personal Branding Portraits

Don’t we all need a high five every once and a while? How about doing it for a living? Doesn’t seem like a bad career. A recent photo shoot had me photograph someone who does just that and she is making strides to empower others. She has found her art.

Fiona came to me with a need for some personal branding portraits for a shiny website. Though her profession is not really well know, let alone have an official title, it is interesting. Working in online health forums. From fitness to cleanses, diets and everything in between. She is marketing herself as a cheerleader/moderator. She guides members through their health journies and providing encouragement when things are rough. You know it is a unique job description when poop and heart emojis are used frequently in responses

High Five Profile

As a way to put herself out there for the world to see we walked through many options. From branding colors, clothing options, the overall vibe of her “brand,” and how we were then going to portray that. Similar to the Case Study for Maria, a thorough picture of what we wanted to portray was vital. High Fives, purple, casual, welcoming, bright spirit were all concepts that shaped our vision. With personality being the main attraction in any portrait, and more so in this instance. The other details only supported that to paint that picture. I can see that her services and approach are in demand. Don’t we all need a little more high fives?

These are some of our favorite images from our session.

Are you in need of some personal branding portraits for yourself? Let’s start the discussion.

UPDATE: Since our session, Fiona has finished her website for her business Seabell Moderation. I have to say I love how it came out. A little envious of how it looks and I am resisting the urge to dive into the bottomless whole that is revamping my website.

Some of my favorite things:

  • The header images works great and knowing that in advance before the shoot helped me to photograph for that specific purpose.
  • The colors in her wardrobe choices work perfectly with her branding colors. Again intentional from the beginning.
  • The virtual High-Five (scroll all the way to the bottom)

Here is a little preview of the homepage. Click the image to see it.
