Let’s face it, your headshot is part of your personal brand. So it better be on brand, from posing and expressions to the color of your background. It all can be worked into your branding.

Example
Skyler here came in for a 30-Minute Headshot Refresh session. We went through a couple of backgrounds and outfit changes, and she decided on this one. After the session, she reached out asking about changing the background to her branding colors so it would be on brand with her new social media header image and email signature. This is totally doable and fairly easy to do, either by me or you can do it as well, and is in line with the image license you receive with purchased images.

Having a headshot that is on brand will only solidify your branding in someone’s head the more they see it. Making it your profile photo across multiple platforms can further engrain that with your potential customers.

This is all about branding, which is only the visual part of your brand. The posing and expressions can be tailored to what you want your brand or business to represent. The brand personality and voice can be translated through various elements, including expressions and even wardrobe.
