To kick off a new portrait project I am thrilled to share some images that the Somersworth High School music program commissioned me for. Photographing young musicians and hearing why they are pulled to make music is inspiring.
I worked with many of the students I photographed for this project in their marching band season of 2017 as the front ensemble instructor. These students worked their butts off and produced a show that was dynamic and emotionally charged. It was an honor to be part of that experience and hope they can take that experience into all aspects of their life.
They have a dedicated hallway in their school where they can place posters that represent the music and theater program. Portraits of students with quotes will be printed and hung in this space.
