For a professional Headshot, think of these things. Remember the intent is to bring attention to your face so people can get a feel for who you are, whether prospective clients or across the company.

  • Dress for the job you want, even if it is the job you already have. How would you view someone in your role?
  • Keep it simple. Solid colors are easier to photograph as it keeps the focus on your face. Bright, busy patterns or prints can distract from your face. However, if that is your style then by all means rock it!
  • Ill-fitting clothing can make you uncomfortable which can unconsciously translate to facial expressions so make sure you wear something that fits well.

In the studio, there are some tried and true, neutral colors but we also can work with your needs. Here are some thoughts.

In almost all cases, yes we certainly can, and have done it for many clients. Knowing that in advance is helpful for setting up for your session. Especially if there is a specific background color or lighting needed. If you are still unsure feel free to email the guidelines to make sure.

No worries at all. You will be guided through posing and expressions. Many people don't like the expressions they see in photos of themselves. You just haven't found the one that you like. The best expressions are often subtle and are the in-between looks that we will explore during your session. A lot can be said with expressions and we want to make sure it shows what you want to portray.

This depends on how many you purchase. 1 image comes with the session and you are welcome to purchase more when we review the images at the end of your session. If you choose 3 images or fewer, in most instances they will be delivered the same day or the next day. If more than that it can be 3-5 days. All images are delivered via a digital download link and you can revisit the images and purchase more at a later time as well.

  • variety of background options - Based on the clothing options you bring we will select 2 colors for backgrounds and utilize
  • Image selection before you leave - We go through the images together. Comparing expressions and looks to narrow down to the best ones.
