Chantal King, voice-over actor, and gamer, is making huge strides with a big move to a new city across the country to pursue her art and craft. From Maine to Los Angeles California to be exact.
With the move, and diving deeper into her art and craft, Chantal wanted to have an updated image library for her personal brand, website, and social media. Something that fits more with the market she was going into, and more importantly, to give “queer people of color hope and inspiration to achieve what you put their mind to.” Her passion for her purpose is infectious and certainly fueled the energy for the entire shoot.
I sincerely enjoy the process of getting to know a person and their purpose before a session. Listening to them talk about what fires them up and seeing their whole essence light up is inspiring. As a voice-over actor who is also a gamer, Chantal, has been working on some projects for video games and wants to give some inspiration to others who aspire to do what she does. She brings who she is to everything she does snd you can feel that from interacting with her. It was such a joy to work with her energy throughout the session from planning to photographing and even the editing of the images.
During our consultation, we went through wardrobe options, colors, and overall aesthetic for the images. Chantal mentioned a deep yellow was one of her favorite colors and had some clothing options that she was going to bring. Securing a roll of “deep yellow” background paper for the shoot really made it come together. From a casual bright vibe to a more bold styled look we covered a range of looks that totally encompassed who she is. More images below.
