What does a classically trained clarinetist and yoga instructor do to keep her passions alive? Find a way to combine music and movement. Maria is beginning her journey in just that. With a passion for both and an interest in helping other musicians become better at their craft through movement and breathing.

Have you done a yoga class recently? How did you feel after? If you are like me, it takes a little while to get out of the fog after a yoga class. I feel great after that but it probably means I need to do it more often. An overarching theme or mood is supported in the flow and rhythm of the movements, much like a piece of music. Maria sees these two art forms as intertwined and supportive of each other, often crafting a playlist specifically for each class. Sensing the connection that yoga and music have for Maria.

Why yoga and music?

This blending of yoga and music is a relatively concept but is gaining popularity among musicians looking to improve their craft. With small pockets in larger cities like New York and Boston, and seeing the benefit in her own playing from practicing yoga. Maria is looking to start the movement here in Maine and is already producing classes for the local music conservatory. I can see her being the go-to person for this in the state. With a distinct vision for her website and style of images, we set out to create images that truly shows her. Maria came to the planning meeting with a new website template she wanted to use, some sample images, and an overall feeling she wanted to portray.
